• Hello, my name is Adrien Benaroch. I'm working for a travel agency based in Boston and I love basket-ball.
One thing that you can't miss if you go to Boston is to watch a game of the Boston Celtics. So today, I'm going to introduce you the C's, their history, their best players, and many other facts.

First of all, the Boston Celtics were founded in 1946 and are the oldest franchise of the NBA, wich furtermore hasn't had change its name and its location since its creation.

After hard beginnings, the C's knew a good period at the end of the '50's by winning eight champion titles in a row. The club knew a second  period of winning with Larry Bird, one of the best player of all time, but after, went at the bottom of the ranking.
Their last title dates from the 2007-2008's season, but today, they are true contenders for victory.
They stay the franchise wich has the most titles (17 trophies). The rivalry of the Boston Celtics against the Los Angeles Lakers (16 trophies) has always been very big because they competed twelve times in the final (the C's have won nine of them).

The name "Celtics" comes from the large number of Irish in Boston and from a reference to a former New-York basketball team the "New York Celtics" wich has disappeared in 1929.

In 1949, it became a member of the NBA at the birth of the league, following the merger of the BAA and the National Basketball League.

From 1969 to 1979, the Celtics have dominated the NBA. In 1978, the C's decided to take the risk of selecting Larry Bird, a promising rookie (beginner).
Bird joined the Celtics during the 1979-80 season, leading the team in points, rebounds and interceptions. His performances earned him the honor of being voted NBA's Rookie of the Year.
The Celtics become one of the key teams of the NBA and only two years after Bird's arrival, Boston regains the top rankings (62 wins for 20 losses) and wins a new title.
In 1984, the Celtics beat the Los Angeles Lakers in the final. In 1985, the two franchises are in the final but this time the Lakers bring the trophy back to California.
"Larry Legend" was the leader of a success and a dominance that the Celtics exerted on the NBA. This incredible rivalry between the two strongest teams in America will be a symbol of the fierce fight between franchises for a decade.
Back problems push Larry Bird to sit more and more on the bench and after 13 years of loyal service, Bird withdraws.

In the 2007 draft, they selected Jeff Green to trade him immediately with two other players against Ray Allen.
On July 31, 2007, the Celtics signed Kevin Garnett and lost five of their players. The Celtics were built around the three main players: Ray Allen, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett nicknamed the Big Three.
The Celtics finished this first season where the Big Three is reunited with the best record of the regular season with 66 wins for 16 defeats.

In the summer of 2010, they recruit Shaquille O'Neal. The living legend, formerly of the Los Angeles Lakers' historic rival franchise.

On August 22, 2017, the Celtics made one of the biggest exchanges of this summer transfer period. They have traded with one of their best player, Isaiah Thomas, and another player against one of the best leaders in the league named Kyrie Irving.
Today, thanks to, among others, Kyrie Irving, the team is at the top of its conference and is a real title contender.

I invite you to return a few years back so that I can tell you a fact. In 1950, the Celtics became the first franchise to recruit an African-American player by signing Chuck Cooper, it will create some revolts in South U.S.
The Boston Celtics are also the first to line up a team of five black players: Bill Russell, Sam Jones, K.C. Jones, Tom Sanders and Willie Naulls.

The first years after its creation, the Boston Celtics franchise had an increasing impact on the culture of the city and the country. Considered a sports model, the team gived a good image of the city throughout the country in the 1960s.

The Boston Celtics are one of the most supported franchises in the world today but also one of the most hated in the history of the NBA. The club's success in the 1960s and 1980s drew criticism from its opponents.

Their stadium is named the TD Garden and they use it since 1975.

The original Boston Celtics logo was designed by Zang Auerbach, brother of the coach Red Auerbach, in the early 1950s. But changed for a bonhomic farfad with his left hand resting on his shillelagh and a basketball on his right index finger with the BOSTON CELTICS inscriptions arching around him in a circle, in the 1975-76 season.

Since the club's creation, the jerseys are white at home and green outside. The word "Celtics" and the player's number are the other two symbols on the players' jerseys.
Of course the Celtics green is reminiscent of Irish green.
In the 2005-2006 season, alternative jerseys appeared, a black jersey.

The affluence was at first very weak. But when Larry Bird arrived, a lot of people wanted to go at the stadium. Since ten years, the TD Garden is always full.                                                          .                                       The Boston Celtics (NBA franchise) by Adrien Benaroch 4°3(A beautiful dunk)

In short, this team is one of the most iconic one in the NBA and has had ups and downs but it's why it's my favorite basketball team.

I hope you liked this article and that now you want to watch a game of the Celtics.

Ps : here are some of Kyrie Irving's best moves since the beginning of the season : w://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCJYbuOmnbU

It's 541 meters tall (to compare to the eiffel tower which is only 324 meters tall) and has 104 floors . This tower was built to replace the twins towers which where distroyed by a plane terrorist attack. • The empire State Building is a skyscraper localised in Manhattan who was open the 1 may 1931 by William Lamb . He is occupied mainly by offices . But at the time half of the offices were vacant so the New Yorkers called it the Empty State Building .

Saturday 28 july 1945, at the end of the second world war, a bomber crashed on the north side of the building while flying trough a thick fog . The fog was so thick that the pilot told the controllers : "It's very difficult I don't even see the Empire State !"

The Empire State Building is 381 m tall and 443 m with the antenna, and he weighs 365 000 tons . He has 6400 windows, 73 lifts and 1860 steps . The Empire State Building is mainly built in steel end concrete . For built this building they must use 10 million of bricks so 200 000 tons of stone .

In the top of the Empire State Building are some spotlights that illuminante it according to the different events happening in the city . For exemple, the green for the st patrick day, blue, white and red for  "La Prise De La Bastille", pink and white for the day of the fights against cancer . And there are some day where there is no colour for exemple for the day of the fights of the aids .

In the Empire State Building we can visit the 86th floor . It's a big panorama of New York city .

  •

hey everyone, i recently went to the Moma  art mseum and it was incredible. I have never seen so much amazing   modern art in one day, and to be honest i'm not a very big modern art fan but tis was amazing. Let me give you a little back ground on the Museum of Modren Art (its full name). Lets go

So Moma is an art museum in the center of New York in Manhattan created in 1929 by three influential of arts  women (Abby Rockefeller ,Mary Sullivan  and Lillie Bliss) that had a passion for art. They wanted people to understand and enjoy the art of their time.                It changed  three times it's location between 1929 and 1939 where they setteld in the building we know today in manhattan

Their first director Mr Barr came up with an idea for the conception of the museum where their would be" multi departementeal" structures based on the origin or the different art form, so basicly the art is presented in  very specific sections and not randomly  a bit like Le Louvre.

Their are aproximitly 2,8 milion visitors a year and over 200 000 art pieces from different art styles ( paintings, sculptures and other randomn art pieces) You can see art pieces from very famous artists like: Salvadore Dali, Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, Henri Matisse or Frida Kahlo

so to conclude the MOMA is an incredible museum wih amazing art peices and artists so i highly recommend you going their but if you don t want to buy a plane tiquet to New York you can just go to the Louis Vuitton foundation in the bois de boulogne because the MOMA have kindly lended a good part of the collection to them so go their quick!!!

most of my info came from the moma page and the moma wikipedia page allright byeeeeee
