• Hello everyone, this afternoon I went  to the Barnes Foundation, let me give you my thoughts:
This beautiful museum is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania . Albert Barnes was a rich entrepreneur who had made a fortune through the invention of an antiseptic. Following this, he threw himself into the collection of paintings and especially French art.  The idea of creating a museum space that could accommodate all these objects dates back to 1921. The goal was to allow all his friends to approach the works while maintaining the identity of his villa. That is to say by adding to the collection furniture and everyday objects.
The Barnes Foundation hosts the world’s greatest collections of different varieties of art:

    Impressionism

    Post-impressionism

    Early modern paintings

If you ever have a chance to visit this incredible Foundation,  you will have the great opportunity to contemplate many works of classical or modern creators such as:
    Renoir, Cézanne, Picasso or Degas.
The collection also houses a wide variety of African artifacts as well as ancient Egyptian and Greek and Roman art  to decorative works of European and North American origin to furnish his villa.
I spent a wonderful time at The Barnes Foundation and I hope to have made you want to go there.

  •      The Museum of Modern Art, MoMA by Clara Karouni

Hello everyone, today I'm going to talk to you about my travel to New York but more precisely about the incredible Museum of Modern Art, also know under the name of MoMA. So, as you know, I went to the USA during the summer holidays and I visited New York, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Los Angeles and San Francisco. But, of all the museums I visited, the MoMA impressed me so much that I feel obligated to tell you about it.
First, I’m going to talk about where is located the MoMA. Secondly, I’m going to present you the Museum and when and how it was created. After, I’m going to speak about their collections and to finish, I will tell you the most famous paintings of MoMA.
    Location:
The MoMA is located in the Midtown District of Manhattan between the Rockefeller Center and the Trump Tower.
Address: "11 W 53rd St, New York, NY 10019, United States"

But if you don't want to buy a airline ticket to New York, you can visit this museum in Paris in the 16 district at the fondation of Louis Vuitton.
    Address: "
11 Avenue du Président Wilson, 75116 Paris"

     Presentation:
The MoMA is New York's largest museum of modern and contemporary art and one of the most renowned in the world. It's a "must-see" even for those who are not great lovers of modern art. I admit that I was not very thrilled to visit a museum but I was surprised to discover works that I already knew and that are in this famous American museum. For lovers of modern and contemporary art, the question does not even arise so much this museum is rich in works of great artists. I advise everyone to go visit it!
    His history:
The Museum of Modern Art in New York was created by "Abby Aldrich Rockefeller, the wife of John D. Rockefeller Jr, and two of her friends Lillie P. Bliss and Mrs. Cornelius J. Sullivan". They decided to create an institution devoted exclusively to modern art, whose role would be to preserve well-known works but also to open its doors to young artists. Alfred Barr was the first director. The museum opened on November 7, 1929, nine days after "the Wall Street stock market crash". Later, the MoMA was closed between 2002 and 2004. Indeed, it was in 2004 that the museum reopened af
ter the completion of the work of the architect Yoshio Taniguchi. Today, the MoMA offers an exhibition area of 11,600 m² and receives more than 2.5 million visitors each year.
    Their collections:
The MoMA hosts collections of paintings, photos and sculptures spread over 6 levels. But it would take you more than 24 hours to visit all these levels. However, this visit will allow you to see the most beautiful works and the greatest artists of the MoMA: Picasso, Cézanne, Matisse, van Gogh or Miro... The Museum has a collection of more than 3.600 paintings and sculptures, over 10.000 drawings and watercolors, 28.000 architectural works and 25.000 photographs. It also has 1.200 videos and more than 22.000 films of all kinds. The museum also has a library that contains more than 300.000 books and magazines. Paintings and sculptures are on the 4th and 5th level, on the 3rd level are drawings, works dedicated to architecture, and photos, 2nd level are illustrated books and artists' comments on their works and finally on the 1st. level there are the movies.

The most famous paintings of MoMA:

Hello everybody, my name is Adélaïde. In this note you will find all the things you have to know to be an expert of the White House. I chose this place because I think it is very important for the story of the United States.

Although the White House is a very famous building in the worldwide and millions of visitors come to see it every year, few people know the different parts and the History of the White House.

The White House is where the President of the United States lives with his family and works since John Adams in 1800. The White House sits in the District of Columbia at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, the capital city of the United States.

The residence was built with the architecture of the “neoclassical style” (Wikipedia). The Construction took place between 1792 and 1800

The expression “White House” is often used to design the administration of the President. It is the symbol of the Power, both political and economic. For the time being, Donald Trump is the 45th president.

The house has changed many times because of two blazes (1814 and 1929) and the moving in of the successive presidents. Let’s mention the building of the western part of the house in 1901. Now, the White House has:“  a main residence and architectural wings on the East and West sides, 4 floors plus a basement and sub-basement, 132 rooms and 35 bathrooms, 28 fireplaces, 8 staircases, 3 elevators, several gardens, a tennis court, a basketball court, a putting green, a bowling alley, a movie theater, a jogging track, and of course a swimming pool.”( whitehousemuseum.org)
